Raphael's name means 'God heals' or 'God has healed'. Along with Gabriel and Michael he is one of the three archangels who are mentioned by name in the bible. While Gabriel is the Messenger and Michael the Defender, Raphael is said to be the one who “healed the earth” after it was defiled by the fallen angels.
Raphael is a powerful healer of physical bodies, both for humans and animals. He is the Angel of Love, Joy and Laughter, custodian of the Tree of Life and of Healing Powers.
This mighty Archangel is able to fearlessly move into whatever area is in need of healing, bringing a host of Angels with him to accomplish this.
