Uncle BernardBernard the Thinking Elf.
Head Planner of Santa's quickest route on the big night (Sat. Nav. Elf) around the world and Uncle to Candy and Kane. Here's a story about what I had to deal with Last Christmas. It was the day before Christmas Eve and the Elves’ Work houses were hectic! I had received an urgent call to come to Santa's office, and dashed over as quick as I could to discuss the problem. "Excuse me! Coming through!" I said, walking hurriedly through the music house. "Oww!" squeaked Note, playing an off key on her tuba. "Sorry!" I shouted,as I broke into a run. I ran up to the candy cane sign and ran to the left, then to the right, then side to side, down a magic stairs (also known as an escalator in the rest of Earth) then up one and eventually down a slide. "Phew! Ahh! Santa's office" I panted, knocking on the polished wooden door emblazed with the words 'Santa Clause’s Office.' "Yes, come in." replied a weak voice from inside. I opened the door slowly peeking in as it creaked. Santa himself was in his big chair holding his big head in his big hands. "We have a sudden problem with a lot of births in Australia, he groaned. In the last week this has added a massive 50,000 kids to their population, sighed Santa. A big problem you would agree Elf, and it would create be a big delay on the 'trip'". "A huge one!" I agreed. "But I was determined to find a way to get around it. I just knew there was, because, we are magic!" I declared strongly. "You know what Santa! My best way of coming up with a plan is sleeping on it," I said and with that I walked out of the office, slowly closing the creaking door. "Have you come up with an idea yet?" asked Santa, meeting me in the stuffing room, the next day. "No!" I sighed. "Aww!" said Santa, “maybe later?” Well, he was right! A few hours later I came running into his office. I went to the left, then the right, Oh you know how it goes! I had thought of a brilliant idea and was busy telling Santa about it, we could pull it off but it would be a difficult task! “What if all of the elves came with you on the ‘trip’ and help quicken things up for you, Santa,” I exclaimed. “Well, em, erhh, ehhhh?” said Santa, stumbling on his words. “It would be very difficult for you all to fit, Bernard.” “I know, but really it is our only choice,” I asserted. Santa took a deep breath and eventually said, “Ok, we have no other option, let’s do it!” “Great!” I replied. “I must tell the other elves that we must hurry and.... and....!” I jumped for joy and ran out the door; shouting orders to any elf I saw along the way, leaving Santa to giggle. On that big night not only Santa and the reindeers had to do a big task! Come on the elves-Woohoo! MumsyMumsy - Santa's Cook - Sweet Designer.
Greetings Boys & Girls, i'm Mumsy. All the elves call me Mumsy, even Santa, Mrs Claus and the Reindeers too. I've been so excited about being included in Candy & Kane's Christmas Page here on Angelic Gifts. Like Candy, Kane and Uncle Bernard, I work in Toy Town at the North Pole. Here we all help Santa to prepare for his most important trip each year, and we all have special duties there too. I'm Santa's Cook. I spend a lot of time in Santa's kitchen making delicious recipes and meals. I also help some of the elves design special sweets that Santa delivers on Christmas Eve. I'm Candy & Kane's Mum. They'll be introducing several other family members and many of there friends to you all over the coming weeks. You will all get to learn a little about what we do here at Toy Town and Santa's Workshop. I'm sure you're all very excited about the coming weeks and Christmas. I know Toy Town is a frenzy of activity now as we countdown to Christmas Eve. It's our busiest month of the year but it's also filled with lots of excitement, celebrations, preparations and work - the elves work very hard and love to party and celebrate afterwards. I've included a lovely recipe for you all below and you can also find it on the Christmas Fun Stuff Page too. Enjoy, see you all again next week. Wassup Kidz! It's your boy Ralph here, I'm Santa's Chief Wrapper and I entertain all the elves at work by rapping with my rhymes. I've included a link below of one of my favourite raps from the Rappin' Ratz - I hope you enjoy it. Stay cool y'all - keep it real. Click here for link to YouTube clip of Rappin' Ratz SudzHello all, my name is Sydney, but everyone calls me Sudz.
I'm Candy & Kane's younger brother and I take care of all of Santa's Sleighs. Oh yes he has more than one! Oops thought you all knew that! All the sleighs have names just like the Reindeers, but of course for his special journey on Christmas Eve he uses the one and only 'Big Red' as we call it. There is a backup Sleigh just in case of emergencies and that one is called 'Red 2'. My job every December is to make sure that both 'Big Red' and 'Red 2' are in tip-top condition and ready for use. Mrs Claus has her own Sleigh - it's silver and gold and it's called 'Sparkle', then Santa has his own sleigh for nipping around it and it's called 'Sprite'. For official occasions and visits to important events there is the large, lavish and delightfully called 'Whoosh' - she's quite fast and flamboyant and she gets a lot of use this time of year. I must get on now as i've to give 'Big Red' a wash and wax - have to have it looking its best for you all. Have a great Christmas! Here's a picture of santa and us Elves preparing the a Sleigh for a test run. |

RyderRyder - Stable /Reindeer Manager
Hello Boys & Girls, my name is Ryder and I run and organise the Stables and the Reindeers at Toy Town. The Reindeers keep me very busy. Every day they eat hay, straw, oats, carrots and raisins. We have to watch what they eat because at Christmas time they get lots and lots of treats. Rudolph gets his own supply of red cherries, they help keep his nose red and luminous. We have to take great care of the Reindeers and make sure they are fit and healthy for their trip each year. Santa keeps an eye on things and is a regular visitor to the stables.
During the month of December Santa regularly takes the Reindeers out for trial runs, so we are kept very busy getting them in and out of their harnesses and giving them extra food to keep their strength up.
Well boys & girls it has been wonderful stopping by on Candy and Kane's Christmas page and sharing some of my pictures with you all. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and please leave a carrot out for the Reindeers instead of cookies. Thank you all
P.S. - You might enjoy this picture of Candy riding on Comet, taken last year! BelleBelle - Head of Entertainment
I plan all the parties here in Toy Town and my biggest job of the year is planning the huge party which begins on Christmas Eve, called the End of Year Party. It begins when Santa takes off for his journey around the world and ends two days later. All the Elves enjoy it as its nice to celebrate after all their hard work. Hello All, my name's Belle and I'm Candy's best friend. My work here in Toy Town is great fun and I really enjoy helping everyone celebrate and enjoy themselves. I work closely with Mumsy regarding food for the parties and my favourite part is organising the music and dancing. Elves love to dance and we spend many months learning difficult step routines so we can all celebrate together at the End of Year Party. In late summer install a large screen in the Town Square and over the coming months, Monty the Dance Instructor records clips of the different dance steps so everyone can practice and be ready for the big event. Candy tells me Monty will be stopping by later in the week to fill you all in on what he does. Another part of my job is decorating all the large Christmas Trees in Toy Town and hanging, repairing and replacing all the wonderful glittery decorations too. I must rush now, as I have to visit Santa's Office; his Christmas Tree is leaning over so I must get it fixed. Take care, have a great Christmas and don't forget to Party On !! |
