Little angel oh so small
sitting on my garden wall.
Bless my garden with love and grace,
abundant blessings on this place.

Little angel oh so still
sitting on my window sill.
Bless my room with love and grace
filled with light and your embrace.

Little angel I adore
sitting by my front door.
Bless my home with love and grace
showering all in this place.

Little angel at my head
sitting just beside my bed.
Bless my sleep with love and grace
always protected in this place.

Sticks & Stones

Can you remember the childhood rhyme; Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me?
Of course it was generally used as a reply to bullying etc whereby you could be harmed by physical force but not by insults.

But is this really true?
Are we not harmed by words?
Not by the words themselves they are just words, but what about the energy and force behind them?

What would 'I love you.' mean without the love behind it. Nothing!

We absorb and take on the energy of others' words. We must accept responsibility for this, we transform and take this negative energy inside us and add it to our darkness, allowing it to grow and get out of hand – but it returns at times when we least notice it – road rage, shouting at the ones we love etc.

Many use words as weapons but we must be aware of how we take these on, how they make us feel, how our day is affected by it and how they deprive us of the joy and happiness we were feeling just a moment before.

Be careful what you say – your words may wound.

We all classify ourselves as not one thing but many;  for example we may be a parent, a son/daughter, niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, friend, colleague, neighbour, carer, lover etc.
If you were to take a pen and paper and list all the labels you use to describe yourself now, how long would the list be?

But these words are just external labels if you were to continue and create a new list with labels for what you consider to be the inner true you, how long would this list be?

Now you have at least two lists of words.  But they are just words they aren't you, there is more to you than just labels.  You could add to your lists daily but they would still not even represent a fraction of who/what you are.

Picture
We have been taught to classify and separate ourselves into measurable boxes to fit in with our social idea of where we fit in our lives and the lives of those around us.  As a child you were told 'what a beautiful little girl you were' or 'what a cheeky little chap you were' and our parents unwittingly guided us on by using comments like; 'if you work hard and do all your homework you too can be a great .....', 'If you want to be a doctor then you will need to spend your time reading lots of books and studying hard,', 'if you join the local football team you will learn great leadership and sharing skills,', 'If you want to get a good job you will have to give up your creative ideas of studying art/dance etc.'  The list is endless but i'm sure you get the idea.

But what truly are we saying to these children?

We're telling them frankly they're not good enough.
They are not perfect.
They require more to fit into our society.
They will need to work harder and accomplish more to be accepted.

Wrong message.

Picture
When you look at a little baby just a few days or weeks old you don't use comments like, 'he'll be a great 'whatever' some day if he does his homework.'
No you breath in and absorb their innocence and purity because as you look into those beautiful deep eyes you see the divine in all its greatest majesty looking back at you and looking into your soul.  The baby is perfect; sweet, innocent, pure and totally perfect.

So what changes?

It's simple - we do.
We impose our 'learned' beliefs and wants and needs onto the child and in doing so we tell them they are not enough.

But the truth of it all is completely the opposite.

Just like the little baby we don't change.   The same divine majesty is still within us, although we have covered it over with lots of 'rubbish' it is there gleaming strong and bright.
We only need to remember and reconnect with it.  We don't change we just take on the 'rubbish' of life and pile it on top and thus carry it around with us all our lives, constantly telling ourselves that we are not good enough, not deserving enough, not entitled enough etc.

We are so much more.
More is such a small, tiny fragmented word to explain what 'IT' is, but it is beyond our greatest imagining, more intense than our wildest dreaming and more beautiful and amazing that we can comprehend.

Remove the rubbish you have been carrying around all your life, let it go.

Instead reawaken your Divinity and know that you are more.
You were created perfect and you still are perfect, totally, magically, and divinely just the way you are.
Let Divine joy radiate in your life, spend tomorrow accessing your more.

the wind I embrace,
all the seasons come and go
and still I stand but also grow.

My branches stretch for the light,
my roots search deep for damp delight,
I see it all go by each day,
all busy walking far away.

My days i'll spend here on this hill
watching those who never still
but I remain in this place
watching this amusing race.

Connecting with your Guardian Angel

Some of the most frequent questions I get asked are ways to connect, communicate and hear our Guardian Angels.

As I have been communicating with my Angels since I was a child I have had to actually sit and recollect the ways I started to to this.  I have compose a short list below of tips which you may find helpful and beneficial.  If one doesn't work for you, don't worry, try another. Best of luck and if you've found this post helpful please consider leaving a comment, i'm always delighted to read your comments and feedback.
  1. Build a relationship with your Angels. Talk to your angels as you would to a sibling or friend.  Do this regularly/daily until it becomes natural. You don't have to speak out loud, just in your head is perfectly fine.
  2. Visit places where it is easier to communicate with angels. If you find a particular place or time is most convenient then use this to aid communication with your angels, some people find sitting silently or even in a church helpful.
  3. Listening to soft Music can aid communication. This a great way to aid communication. Play the music, sit and let your mind clear so you can speak and talk with your angels.
  4. Being outside and in Nature is ideal for communication. Being out in nature is one of the best ways to make a connection.  Walk or sit outside, focus on a tree, bird, river etc and just let yourself relax and begin to communicate.
  5. When you get into bed at night and just before you go to sleep is an ideal time for communication.  As you're about to go to sleep, ask your angel to visit you in your dreams or if you prefer when your relaxed have a short conversation with you angels.
  6. When you're travelling (obviously not driving!). Sit back, relax and let your brain go blank, try not to let background noises disrupt you.  This is a great and brief way of communicating with your angels.
All the above way are idea for getting to know your angels.  Initially you want to build the relationship, and if you start out by asking lots of questions this will hinder your progress.  Instead, take it easy, stay relaxed and ask your angels to help you with this process.  A good question to ask is 'What do you want me to to know/notice/see today?'

Best of luck, it won't take your angels long to communicate with you.  Be ready!

mirrored in the mists of time,
all we need to do is sort
the tumult from the rhyme.

Softly onward we must tread
along our path of light inclined,
until we stumble to the end
knarled and beaten fast and bled.

Then looking on with eyes anew
every stumble a lesson true,
now wrapped in our soul divine
added wisdom bliss sublime.

Find Your Balance

We all crave the light, we spend our lives searching for the light in one way or another.

As a child we are born with Divine Light and as we grow and develop the darkness within us slowly overtakes and dims our light.
Firstly we cannot have the light without having the dark - after all, a lit candle is of little use on the sunniest day, but in the dark of night it is most beneficial.
Secondly the darkness is not a bad thing to have, we all have to find our own unique balance of darkness and light.

Where does the darkness come from?
The darkness is every little negative thing you have thought, felt, experienced and lived through, but instead of facing it and acknowledge it for its lessons and achievements, we bury it deep, we feel guilty of it, we feel repulsed by it because we are taught that it is not acceptable.  This is done mostly in childhood so many of us are totally unaware of what our darkness holds.

The darkness reappears as we grow older as we try to juggle all the balls of life, we for a time take our eye off what we are doing and then BANG! we bash ourselves and rehash the darkness until it eventually takes us over; telling us how unworthy we are, how insignificant we are, etc.  Hans Christian King has a lovely phrase - we run our crazies he says, - we let our ego's dictate to us how we should be feeling and what we should be doing to fit in etc.

The one thing you have forgotten and should remember is the light is in you.
It's always been there, it never goes out.  Even in the darkest mind or troubled moments, the darkness can never overwhelm the light because you have a Divine Spark - a God given Spark that he has given you and no on can extinguish that.

Take time to reacquaint yourself with your darkness, don't fear it.  Face it - give it a name, acknowledge it is part of you and look at what it has taught you.  Even the most horrid of the darkness words holds a miracle - a freedom because when you know it you can forgive it, accept it and move on.

God bless and keep you all

not to beat with life and love,
the story now unfolds.

It beats a life
an echo felt
within a chest so cold.
Encased within its withered shred
of hate, regret and woes

Hollowed out of love and life
empty thunders roar.
Not to live a life of love
its beating endless chore.

Clear your mind!

An easy way to clear your mind is to light a candle and stare at the flame.

You may find random thoughts float into your mind. Try not to focus on the thoughts just acknowledge them and move back to focusing on the flame.

Breathe slowly and practice a couple of times a week. You will find next time you meditate it will be easier to clear your mind and focus on your meditation.

Angels Everywhere

This last week I spent quite some time chatting with my Sister on Skype.  Nothing fantastic just the usual updates and goings on in the families. To my horror I realised it was almost 3pm and i'd nothing done.  We swiftly said our good byes etcs and I rushed about getting some order on my kitchen.

Suddenly I realised i'd forgotten to go to Costco to do a quick stock up and dashed to the car.
As I ran out the door my daughter informed me to go easy as there was road works and at this 'awful' hour it would be a bit manic. Yes the school rush time is the time to avoid the roads if at all possible.
Without thinking I headed off hoping that all would be OK and announcing to my Angels in the back seat - 'Over to you guys' .

I put the radio on, rubbish nothing great to drive to so I had to make do with my hubby's CD of Garth Brooks - not bad; a few sing along types did me fine.
Got to Costco within 35 minutes - a record but not even noticing the time I dashed out of the car and in to the store. Wow I couldn't believe my luck, instead of being thronged with frazzled mums and snarling kids it was almost empty.  I dashed around got all my stuff and headed to the checkout in record time.

Only 2 checkouts open and one with some very full trollies so I decided to go to the other. As I approached a member of staff finishing at a nearby checkout said 'Allow me to sort your trolly,' naturally I didn't refuse.  And again the other side the same kindly soul filled it again.

I smiled as I left the store only to get a fantastic blast of cold wind and rain in my face. I dashed to the car.  Luckily with the boot raised it blocked the advancing downpour and as I reached for the last few items I pondered if I should return the trolley to the trolley bay or the front of the store.  I hadn't made up my mind on reaching the last item when from no where a young man, said behind me, 'I'll take that back for you, save you getting wet!" "Thank you, you're very kind," I responded but I doubt he heard as he rushed off - i noticed he wasn't even wearing a jacket as I dashed to the driver door and got in.

"Thank you all," I said as I took a quick moment to thank my Angels.
A short while later I retuned safely home and there waiting for me on the door mat was a pristine white feather.
