Question 1 What is a Guardian Angel?
A guardian angel is a very specific angel with a set task. They were created by God to guard and guide a human being while they are on earth particularly to help them avoid spiritual dangers and ultimately achieve salvation. The angel has never been to earth in human form and they will only have one human to look after.

Question 2 What does the Catholic Church teach about Guardian Angels?
According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church:
From its beginning until death, human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession. Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life. Already here on earth the Christian life shares by faith in the blessed company of angels and men united in God.

Question 3 Who has a Guardian Angel?
Everyone.
We all have a guardian angel. It doesn't matter what religious beliefs you have or even if you have none. We all as human beings have a guardian angel assigned to us. It is our free will and choice to connect with our angel and follow their guidance and help.

We don't pray directly to angels or worship them, we instead thank God for their guardianship and counsel and we pray in words of thanks for their protection and companionship.
Angel of God,
My guardian dear,
To whom God's love
Commits me here;
Ever this day (or night),
Be at my side,
To light and guard,
To rule and guide.

There is no right or wrong answer here.
The Archangel's have names which are holy and devout.
Our Guardian Angels already have names - but as we don't understand their angelic language and so cannot understand their names, many tend to ask their Guardian Angel to let them know the name they wished to be called by.
This is very beneficial if you are conducting a relationship with your angel and wish to communicate with them regularly.

Dominions, Virtues and Powers.
3rd Sphere
Principalities, Archangels and Angels.
